A Brief Profile: Reverend Olaseinde Akinrodoye
On 17th December 1938, Reverend Olaseinde Akinrodoye was born in Ondo to the Christian family of Papa Daniel Akinrodoye Falekulo and Mama Elizabeth Ademolakun Akinrodoye. Both parents decended from illustrious families, the Falekulo (his father) and the Oyeneyin (his mother). They were members of the Cathedral Church of St. Stephen, Oke-Aluko, Ondo of the Anglican Communion. He was baptised on the 10th of December 1943 and confirmed on the 16th of November 1958.
He attended St. Stephen's Cathedral Primary School before proceeding to Ondo Boys High School, Ondo from 1955 to 1959.
He worked briefly in Lagos (at Barclays Bank) before going to the United Kingdom to further his education.
From 1964 to 1967, he attended Harrow Technical College, London and from 1967 to 1970, Waltham Forest Technical College. He studied Accountancy and became a full member on the 12th of May 1977, and a member of the Institute of Chartered Accountants of Nigeria in May 1980.
He lived in Lagos for most of his professional life. He attended St. Peters Church, Faji, Lagos. A member of Christian Companion Society. Served in the Harvest Committee from 1982 - 1984, and was Vicar's Warden from 1985 - 1992 and People's Warden from 1997 - 2003. From 1997 - 1999, he served as Lagos Zone Resource Person for the Cathedral Church of St. Stephen and on the Lagos Zone Harvest Committee from 1999 - 2001 as Secretary.
His professional life consisted of working at Nigerian Dredging and Marine Limited, where he became the Chief Accountant. He also worked as a Cost Accountant with Chesebrough-Pond Manufacturing Company (makers of Vaseline Jelly). He practised as an Accountant and Auditor at Adekunle Akinlonu & Co., and Financial Controller at Ocean Steam Ship Nigeria Limited. Non-Executive Director at First Acceptances Finance and Securities Ltd. On retirement from his professional life, he attended the Lagos Anglican Bible College from Jan 1998 to April 1999. Subsequently he attended Immanuel College of Theology, Ibadan and graduated with a Diploma in Theology from 2001 to 2004. He was ordained a Deacon of Cathedral Church of St. Stephen, Oke Aluko, Ondo on the 12th of December 2004 (The church in which he was baptised and confirmed as an Anglican). A member of Christ Lovers' Circle and the current President till death.
He continued in the office of a Priest until his home call on the 12th of December 2017.
He his survived by his loving wife Oluremi (married 5th September 1970), his children - Gbenga, Funmilayo, Agboola, Omololu and his 9 grandchildren.
